Through the completion of many projects, we have contrived engineering solutions from specific issues presented by customers.  We work with a variety of unique disciplines in engineering and construction to ensure cohesive success for the client.  REF has provided various clients with exceptional project management, contractor scope of work, bid documents, equipment specifications, power system studies, as well as LV-MV-HV system design and equipment commissioning.

With an upgraded relay protection system, this facility was able to utilize their investment to the upmost advantage; reducing Utility Power Factor Penalties with the implementation of a custom VAR control Automation program.

Through design and engineering innovation, we delivered great results in the Cap Bank Addition project.  We worked collaboratively with others to control the Cap Bank in Auto or Manual, with single stage selections.

With islanded generation, synchronizing back to the grid needs to be reliable, robust, and redundant.  We've implemented custom synchronizing solutions for a variety of unique applications.  Each project is complete with an HMI to provide live data while the auto-synchronizer program take action.

Customer required to shed steam load based on header pressure.  Our automation team was able to program a routine that accomplished this goal, saving turbines from going offline.

A custom program was developed to control TG3 MW setpoint automatically based on Utility intertie MW input by operator.
